American Pawn is a family-owned and operated pawnshop with three convenient area locations in Baton Rouge & Baker. The company was started by Joel and Mia Wallace in 1992. 

Initially, American Pawn was a small store specializing in buying and selling jewelry and small electronics. Through the years, we have grown into a full-service pawn store. Now, we offer a variety of specialty services such as special orders for jewelry and guns, jewelry repair, gun transfers, and wholesale diamonds. We specialize in luxury and designer items such as high end handbags, Rolexes, Estate pieces and more. 

American Pawn is always happy to search for a hard-to-find item and provides loans on most items of value. Our company works with new and estate jewelry. Our subsidiary company, Heirloom Diamonds, offers wholesale pricing on large and small quality diamonds. Joel holds a diamonds grading certificate from GIA, which is a Gemology Standard for the industry.
